First British Dressage Competition at ISEC

On the 29th November we held our first Affiliated British Dressage Competition with classes ranging from Prelim to Advanced Medium. The Competition was well attended with some riders travelling nearly 3 hours to compete.

The restricted P7 Class was won by Trish Lockhart and Antrim Magic – Trish keep’s her horse on Livery and is trained by Ian and Jenny Stark’s daughter Stephanie Robson. Trish hacked over the hill to the competition and was over the moon with her win. She has been a great support to ISEC since it opened 12 months ago. The Open P7 class was won by Nydia Chandler and her horse Goldies Indiana – Nydia also won the ISEC Unaffiliated Summer Dressage Series. The restricted P13 winner Julie Wynne was at ISEC for the first time and travelled from Dumfrieshire to compete on her Appaloosa Gelding ‘Moonlight Samson’. Julie also won the restricted Novice class.

The Open P13 class was won by Kirsty Brewis and Memo. Kirsty helps out at ISEC regularly and also events one of Ian’s horses Markus. The Open Novice and Elementary classes both went to Claudia Claydon and her new ride King Ralph. Claudia is another local rider who regularly attends ISEC. Her favoured discipline is eventing but is making the most of ISEC’s winter programme to get to know her new horse. The restricted Novice went to Alison Allan and Dreamboat II from Nenthorn Equestrian Centre near Kelso.

The Restricted Medium Class went to Wendy Bell and Taktiform. Wendy also keeps her horse in livery and trains with Steph Robson.
