Henry

Romeo

Romeo

Romeo – one of the biggest horses at the equestrian centre. He’s used with the college students, in the school and takes rides out. He enjoys doing the local Common Ridings.

Dorland

Dorland

Dorland was the first of the feral ponies to be broken after they arrived with us from Auchness two years ago. He’s very quiet and is ridden by everyone.

Ellie

Ellie

Ellie (2001 Bay mare, Irish Sports Horse, 16.2hh) came to use from Hunt Service. She is a lovely kind mare who is expecting her first foal in July 2016… watch this space. Prior to maternity leave she has been a super addition to the riding school team.

George (2012, Grey Part Bred Connemara gelding by Henrietta Knights Lockinge Frederick out of ISEC’s Popsi) is currently starting his ridden education. George as a foal;

Midnight

Midnight

Midnight – Is another one of our stars! He has also taught hundreds of kids to ride over the years and is worth his weight in gold! He loves getting to go on rides out with the other ponies.

Gill

Gill

Gill   (2002 Thoroughbred Grey Mare, 16.3hh)  is Ian’s  main hunter, he regularly uses her to field master with the Duke Of Buccleuch Hunt. Previously she has evented with Ian’s daughter Stephanie and has also point-to-pointed under the name Silver Monument.

Zorro

Zorro

Zorro – Is a big favourite with our clients at the Equestrian Centre. He is loads of fun and loves going out for a ride and jumping along the way!

Vinnie

Vinnie

Vinnie – Is one of the younger ex feral ponies. At the moment he’s being ridden by the college students but he’s coming along and should be being used by clients of the Equestrian Centre very soon.

Flossie

Flossie

Flossie is a five year old Welsh Section A, who came to us from Stonedge Stud in Hawick, along with May & Nellie. She is quickly becoming a favourite amongst the young riders and is now learning to jump.

Hector

Hector has been eventing this season with Steph. She finished the season with a BE100 at Cumwhinton in September. Hector will be back in work soon and looks forward to a season hunting and then some more eventing in the Spring.

Ryan

Ryan

Ryan – Came from Bill Hughes yard years ago. His day job is in the school and taking rides out with clients and students, but he is also a vaulting star! Here he is at the British Vaulting Championships!

Glen

Glen

Glen – the second of the ex feral ponies to be broken to ride. He’s used by the college students and takes rides out.

Seek

Seek

Seek (Secret, 1999 Chesnut gelding 16.3hh) was donated to ISEC by Duncan Tait who previously evented him. He is lovely kind horse that excels at jumping lessons. He loves hacking and likes to be at the front!

Sooty

Sooty

Sooty (2015 Black Fell Pony) is jointly owned by Jenny and Tim Stark. He was purchased in late 2015 from a sale in Kirby Lonsdale. He has won In-Hand Show classes, and will now spend a few years on the hill to mature.. with perhaps the occasional show here and there!
