Therapy/Disabled

The Riding Centre has a long-standing affiliation with the Riding for the Disabled Association, and RDA group sessions take place on Thursday afternoons. Our Centre has been developed in consultation with the RDA and the Scottish Borders Council and we plan to expand our facilities for disabled riders over the coming months. For more information about the RDA or how to get involved as a participant or volunteer please contact Glynis Sawyers on 01750 32292.

Outwith the RDA, private lessons can be arranged for clients with disabilities and behavioural issues. Riding – and just being around horses – is a means of therapy in itself, both for mind and for body, and our staff are experienced in teaching and helping clients with a range of mobility levels, behavioural concerns and psychological needs.

For more information about our facilities and competencies please do not hesitate to contact us on 01750 20202 or email info@ianstarkequestriancentre.co.uk
