A minimum of two riders for safety reasons, or 1 rider accompanied on foot by a responsible adult.
Riders must only jump fences that are within their own and their horses capabilities and fitness.
Fences can be jumped in BOTH directions UNLESS there are directional flag markers in place, RED on RIGHT, WHITE on LEFT. These fences MUST be jumped in the direction shown.
Riders, and anyone accompanying them, must show consideration for others using the facilities.
Anyone found riding dangerously will be asked to leave.
Children under 16yrs must have a responsible adult with them.
Riders 8 years and under are NOT permitted to hire the XC, unless they are part of an arranged Pony Club training or event.
Dogs are not allowed in the XC field
If any fence is broken you will not be charged but you MUST report any breakages so that repairs can be made to prevent injury to others
All accidents, however minor, must be reported and recorded at reception using the accident forms
Please make a note of the What 3 words: gathering.event.small in case of emergency.
ISEC is a working farm and has livestock. We ask that gates be left as they are found while riding to the field.
Ian Stark Equestrian Centre and all those involved with it, do not accept liability for any accident, loss, damage or illness to horses, riders, spectators, dogs or vehicles in any way whilst using the facilities
Horses/Ponies must not be left unattended tied to the outside of trailers/lorries
Please ensure that you do not muck out your horsebox onto the Car Park.
Take all litter home with you.
NO HAYNETS TO BE TIED TO THE OUTSIDE OF LORRIES/TRAILERS
Riders must wear safety equipment of a riding hat and body protector to the standard shown below. Fixed peaks not allowed.

PAS 015: 2011 with BSI Kitemark or Inspec IC Mark
(BS) EN 1384: 2023 with BSI Kitemark or Inspec IC Mark
VG1 with BSI Kitemark or Inspec IC Mark
ASTM-F1163 2015 & 2023 with the SEI mark
AS/NZS 3838, 2006 with SAI Global Mark
Body Protectors as of 2024
A body protector is compulsory for all Cross Country riding.
A body protector for these activities must meet BETA 2018 Level 3 Standard (blue and black label).
